youth in revolt
so not all the people i went with to see "youth in revolt" liked it as much as i did, but i honestly was laughing out loud at so many parts. best quote by far was when the mom was telling nick that no one would want to date her because she's old and has stretch-marks, and he goes "Mom, you have to be open to all different people. I mean we haven't even considered the stretch-mark fetishes." (or something like that).
Anyways, i loved it, and here is the hilarious video spot that was playing on MTV during the most recent jersey shore episode... they basically give michael cera a guido makeover. so funny.

check out audiobooks from library on comp
wow so cool! just found out you can download and "check out" audiobooks from my town's library off the internet and then just put 'em on your ipod. this summer, i had a long drive so i had checked out an audiobook on cd and burned it, then put it on my ipod. but this would be so much easier.
not quite sure how the checking out process works though... because once you have it downloaded to your ipod how could they just take it away? maybe it expires or something.

"nightlight: a parody"
i love twilight. it's a guilty pleasure. but i do admit that is ridiculous, poorly written, and pretty stupid. hence, i greatly enjoyed reading "nightlight: a parody," harvard lampoon's book making fun of the series.
favorite quote: pretty random, but basically some girl just had a seizure and made some prophecy, and then belle (the equivalent character to bella) says, "Is 'vampires' code for Edwarts [Edward's name in the parody]?" I asked. "And 'crown' code for 'poison nuggets disguised as raisins which you pick out of cereal anyway so don't worry about it?"
lol, i thought it was funny.
the book is especially great for people who have read all the books and seen the two movies, as it has really nice references to some of the stupid film stuff they did in the movies to try to make them dramatic.
