me reading a poem on a kenyon video

just found out that this video i'm reading in is on youtube! it was someone's project for a video class, where they were making possible videos for the admissions department at kenyon. it features me reading a poem i wrote.

"cloudy with a chance of meatballs" movie

currently watching the animated movie cloudy with a chance of meatballs that came out a few months ago... i like it so far, def love imagining worlds like this with giant scoops of ice cream:

but i have to say, i don't like how much the movie strayed from the original book:

the book was one of my favorites as a kids, and it would've been nice if the movie wasn't completely different, like it was lol. still, def see it.

swiss cake rolls are the best

i've always believed swiss cake rolls are better than the similar snack cakes ho ho's or yodels. these people tested them and agree. read the test

i love "real simple".

i absolutely love the magazine real simple.

this month, there was an article about really organized women. one of them loves to organize so much, she said that if her son wants candy he says, "please, I'll let you organize my toys!" hahahah that's so gonna be me when i grow up.

and then they had this adorable article about couples in their 80's who have been together for years, and their advice about healthy marriages. to keep things lively, one of them "hides chocolates around the house" for his wife to find. lol my husband better do that.

another guy had apparently "first laid eyes" on his wife when he was two years old, and she was a baby and they were at some party together or something. as a toddler, he had apparently seen her as a baby and told his mom, "i want that baby." years later, when they got married, his mom said, "well, you got that baby." ....hahahha

ah, more cute valentine's day baking!

ok, so this adorable "box of chocolates" is actually a cake, with red fondant, and then each of the truffles are miniature cakes!!

vintage valentine cookies

just saw these adorable valentine's day cookies on bakerella... she printed out images of vintage valentine's on edible frosting paper (ahh need to get this stuff! although you use sugar ink too, which can be hard to clean out of your printer) and then pasted them with frosting on heart shaped fluffy sugar cookies. so cute!

fucked up abortion law

so apparently utah just passed a law criminalizing illegal abortions... now i don't support abortion, or illegal ones, but the fact that women are still seeking them (in this case the woman paid a guy to kick her in the stomach!) shows that people are going to try no matter way. laws prohibiting abortion are not helpful to anyone. criminalizing illegal abortions isn't doing anything for this issue.
